It’s hot in paradise

Overnight I awoke and recreamed my bites. They appeared to be abating a little. Pus had ceased to flow and the itching had subsided. I did, however, find another on my side. As expected, the room temp is better so I soon dropped back off to sleep. We awoke around 8am to a fabulous view from our small, mozzie filled balcony.

Bed, balcony, rooftops, sea, islands.

We lounged a lot as we had no big plans today, just to relax. It’s a bit cooler, around 28. We creamed, Sun creamed, DEETed And skin so softed, then went down for some breakfast. Loads to choose from, including a Thai lady who’s sole job is to prepare your eggs. I have noticed a difference in this Hotel to the last. Here there are no kids, and everyone (except me) is beautiful. We had a little stroll after breakfast and saw people looking up into a tree. Hornbills. Apparently they nest around here and the restaurant is named after them.
After breakfast we changed into cozzies and went down to the pool, us and the line up for next weeks vogue. Never mind, we both had a swim.

Oh it was hot by that pool. The nice pool guy (pooh) kept bringing us water, but we decided to move into the pagoda where there’s more shade. From there we could see some of the people from our hotel paddle boarding. Seas flat as a pancake. Maybe I will have a go, eh Irene?
People came and went from the pool. All of them tanned and gorgeous. But wait! A couple arrived that were a little bit older and not quite so beautiful. There is a god. We stayed there just chillin and watching the world go by.  Still red hot but a little cloudy overhead. Maybe a chance of rain. I scanned the internet and saw that England had been beaten by Holland, and that the defence are a shambles. Good job that I didn’t stay up till 1.45am to watch it. I saw that Joe Newell is leaving, probably for Donny. Never liked him anyway and hope he crashes and burns. I saw that Chris had a crisis with the dogs involving birdseed, sick and poo. Sorry son!

Beautiful people in a beautiful location.

Our pagoda pog

All that lazing had made us peckish so we decided to have some proper lunch today. Afterwards we had a walk along the beach where we came across Another swing. We had great fun taking photos with the selfie stick until we both leaned too far back and fell off. Ouch!

And off we fall

We had our swimming togs on so we had a dip in the Andaman Sea. Once again red hot, shallow, And Mill pond still. It was very murky though, you couldn’t see through the water to the dangers that may lurk beneath. I didn’t stay in long.  As we walked along Ian said, “Are we carrying on past that hard dog?”. Looking up I saw a stray dog blocking the path, evil expression and elbows bent like Butch on Tom And Jerry. “Nah. Let’s turn around.”
Lucky we did as we just returned to the hotel in time for happy hour. Mai Tai please.

After the exertions of today it was nice to have a long soak in the bath. My bites had all calmed right down, but left evil looking scabs and sores all over my legs and arms. I’m going to look even more out of place down by the pool. As we headed for dinner I noticed a family checking in, with a child! What’s the world coming to. Also, the rain had begun. As we ate (Pad Thai for Ian and spicy beef for me) we noticed the pagoda being prepared for an intimate meal for two.

I had a sorbet for pud, and Ian had a giant piece of cake, which he tore into with relish.
Tomorrow we have arranged our trip on the Kudu Warrior so have to be up at 7.30. If the rain stops

Man of the day

The hard dog, no one was getting past him

Toilet watch

I use the one by the restaurant. Not as good as usual, a little smelly. 5/10

Homeward bound

We woke to our last day in Thailand after another 11 hour sleep for me, and I felt so much better. We threw back the curtains to the same am...
